WHERE'S PIP

What a journey up. As soon as we crossed the border it started to lash down, Oh deep joy. The A9 is something else, it seems that the Scottish decided to invest only in one road and then stick speed camera's all along it. I am never going to complain again about the 20 mile stretch on the M1 where you can only do 50 mph. This was a 190 miles of 50/60 miles an hour.

My day started with me supposedly catching the 0556 train to worcester where Bas was to meet me with the car. When I arrived at the station my train was delayed!!!!! this was due to troublesome passengers, What!!!! at that time of the morning. I wasn't even on it, normally it would be me I hear you say. Well it turned out that it was a group of Somallian's who had boarded the train at Paddington with no ticket's and no money, fights ensued and Police were called, I was upset as I missed all the entertainment. When the train got to reading 35 minutes late I was the only one on it, I told you I was special.

 

fun over and we set off at 0835 hrs from worcester and arrived in wick at 1930 hrs. We did a you tube clip called on route to SP, it is loaded up so have a look.

 

We stayed at the Nethercliffe hotel in Wick. It was fantastic, the hotel bar and the Local's were fantastic, 3 people donated within minutes of our arrival in the bar so Thank you guys. I was last to leave the Bar, now this was due to my having a discussion with the owner and the bar man. I am a public relation's guru.

 

We had called into another bar and met a couple on holiday and we had a few drinks with them as well. a big thanks goes to Lionel who kindly said he would give me a lift to John O'Groats on the Sunday and he was true to his word, many thanks Lional and we will see you in Carnforth.

 

I am now in Jog, and cannot wait to start tomorrow Yea ha are we there yet. Got to go the Bar is open.
