Today I was joined by Janice and Mhairi, for the walk. It is the first time during the trip that I have had company and it was indeed welcome to say the least. Mhari did the map reading with Janice inputting into it and I just followed relaxing and having a blast. Not once did we get lost and we covered a variety of terrain from road walking, forest walking and hill walking. The girls were in fine form and we had a nice relaxing stroll through the countryside. janice and Mhari had not walked over 15 miles in there training, but set off at a cracking pace and maintained it. I was struggling to keep up. The weather was poor and we had rain rain and more rain, but they kept the moral up and I did not hear a single winge.
By the end the girls were a little tired but that did not stop them from enjoying an evening of drinking with Jack, Ian and christine who drove down to join us for an evening meal. A great day and I thank them all for flying and driving just to walk one day with me. A great shout a great day.
