GLASGOW TO STRATHCLYDE PARK

DISTANCE: 18 MILES

START TIME: 0600 HRS

FINISH TIME: 1230 HRS

TOTAL DISTANCE: 339.36 MILES

Today it seems that Dannie had yet again ordered rain, I know he hates me really, for at 0400 hrs, I found him dressed as an Indian chief, chanting and doing a rain dance around his totem pole, he is not a nice person.

The route was straight forward but the rain kicked in heavily after about 40 mins into the tab and did not stop till I was a mile away from my destination.

I have to say that at the end i was welcomed by some great friends, who then proceeded to provide a great night of entertainment. See the clip dated  day 18 as everyone bar Christine, was there. Ian and Christine laid on a great day and evening and i can only thank them yet again for the truly great hostpitality they provided. Now my boots love Christine and Janice as they pampered the boots. the Boots had a clean, were washed and then with a hair dryer they dried the boots. ( to be honest i didn.t tell them they were Pikey boots as they would have thrown them in the bin.) The boots were in tip top form form today, about bloody time.

Ian gave up time from work to host me and Jack janice and Mhairi, gave up time from work to a travel up to support me, and the two Ladies, will be walking with me tomorrow. What can you say, other than many thank's. Phil gave me his customary daily call, and that always boost's Moral, thanks as always and to Deb who always keeps the home and life in order whilst I'm away and is the backbone of the trip.

A great thanks goes to Ian and his work mates from Douglas park, in Glasgow who collected and donated over a £130.00 pounds. My thanks on behalf of myself and the Charity go to you all.

Tomorrow I will for the first time on this trip have people to walk with, can't wait yea ha are we there yet. Till tomorrow chap's and chapesses. Deep joy
