What a day of contrasts, I set off and climbed for over an hour eventually getting to the top of the first mountain. Today i knew was going to be hard as I was going across the longest bleakest trickiest terrain during the trek. I was going to climb the devils staircase and pass glencoe mountain. It started out great then Dannie called me to chat. well he eventually turned the subject to the weather and i said I had been fortunate that I had only 2 hours rain thus far. Well all I can say is Dannie is a bloody jinx, a retired Indian rain dancer, for within 15 mins of Dannie ending the call, I may as well have stepped into a shower. i was drenched within 30 seconds, not only did he send the rain he sent gale force winds as well, nasty vindictive person is Dannie, for the next ten miles in the bleakest terrain in Scotland with no cover I battled the elements. I was for the first time in my life concerned. I could feel the body temperature dropping, could feel numbness in my fingers and had no cover from the elements. I did not realise how much Dannie must hate me.

My feet were sodden and it felt like walking in a bath of cold water. after 10 miles the rain stopped, but the gale force winds persisted. within the hour I was given a blow job. Stop it i can hear you thinking, I was literally  blown dry by the winds. An hour later the sun came out and  i was dry with the exception of my feet. The last mile to the hotel was lovely. The hotel called the Inveroran hotel is in the middle of no where and had no phone reception or wifi. What a cracking little bar where I had a great evening with Ben from North Caroline , a minister from there, and with Christoph and Stefan, two german lads. A great evening was enjoyed. Thanks lads for making a cracking evening, ben I look forward to corresponding with you soon, what a day. Thanks Dannie.
