FINISH TIME: 1545 HRS

TOTAL DISTANCE: 593.66 MILES

It was a pleasant day walking, mostly following the shropshire canal. Geordie left this morning Boo Hoo. Now do you remember how we initially planned our routes? yes via an RAC route map, and we, no not we BAS was in control of the distances. Well he either got it wrong intentionally or he just cannot count. 24 miles Pip. 24 Bloody miles my Axxx. Try 27.9 miles, in a bloody heat wave. All I could hear was chuckling, yes chuckling, bloody the Bass chuckling away to himself. I tell you revenge will be sweet when it comes to Bodmin and the rest of the south west. Did I say it was hot, try roasting hot and even hotter than roasting hot.

The route was simple enough ( stop it I can hear you ) just follow the canal until it says stop. Today i was attacked by dogs, the owners stating at the time, dont worry they wont bite. Well when I saw the jaws of this little spaniel open like a crocodile and lick its lips, getting out of its side saddle salt and pepper, I thought Pip son its time to break into a sprint. I was like lindford Christie only twice as fast. The spaniel not to be deterred continued to ignore its owners and proceeded to chase me. I knew the dog was serious as when I looked behind me the dog was tucking a knapkin into its collar. The owner who was being dragged via the lead, looked like one of those cowboys being dragged by a horse with an Indian astride it. Well I used to do cross country running, the long jump and triple jump, and I used all those qualities to run and jump across the canal, much to the amazement of the dog and the horror of its owner as he was dragged into the canal and hopefully drowned. I was off route now and I did not care, so it wasnt really Bass's fault. The added miles were mine and I hold my hands up. I think I have to much time on my hands during the day.
