THORNBURY TO CLEVEDEN

We decided to have breakfast, I know shock, horror. Well today was a day when we had a chance to knock of some distance by taking a short cut to cross two river's. The bridge over the first was there and we were buzzing, for we had shortened our distance. However the sluice bridge for our second short cut was like fort knox. Barbed wire gun enplacements, gurkas on sentry duty and a Pxxxx camp the other side. Hmmm no way across, this short cut was not to be. What it did do was add a further 6 miles onto our journey as there was only one other bridge in the area. Deep joy. Back to pounding the roads and the sun was out. Bas was melting at a rapid rate of knots, and whilst I think it is funny watching him suffer this way, he was under pressure. HE HE HE . We ended up staying in a pxxxx caravan park where the only entertainment was stealing there kit instead of having kit stolen.
